Dolores McLaren Obituary
Dolores McLaren, 91, of Findlay, passed away at 1 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023, at Birchaven Village.
She was born Aug. 15, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan, to Ludwik and Mary (Danielewicz) Kowalski. She married Frank V. McLaren on May 8, 1954, and he survives.
Dolores is also survived by her daughters, Nancy (Steve) Domke of Almont, Michigan, Debbie (Stephen) Lowrie of Fort Worth, Texas, and Donna (Darryl) Williams of Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jonathan, Shaun, Andrew, Sarah, Rachel, Daniel, Matthew, and Melissa; and great-grandchildren, Cameron, Corbin, Abigail, Ben, Andrew, James, Elizabeth, Rowan, Lilly, Eleanor, and Caleb.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leonard Kowalski; and sisters, Eleanor Wojtalik and Irene Lind.
Dolores retired in 1992 from Marathon Oil Company and was a member of Gateway Church, Findlay. She was also a member of Precious Moments Club and was active in promoting literacy with Read for Life. Dolores was also involved with Compassion International as a child sponsor. She and Frank enjoyed traveling and seeing the world.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, 2023, and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.
Dolores' funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Dr. Stephen Lowrie officiating.
Dolores' graveside service will be 12 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2023, at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
Memorial contributions may be made to Read for Life at readforlife.org.
