Diane C. Below

Diane C. Below, 67, of Findlay and formerly of Tiffin, ended her earthly journey at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, and entered her Lord's heavenly home. She started her journey July 20, 1955, the only child of Wayne K. and Joan C. (Fox) Gibson.

Diane is survived by her son, Ethan Below of Findlay. He was the light of her life. His humor kept her going through tough times. Ethan was the best caretaker. Diane was also support by aunts, Janie and Joyce. Many family members, friends, and the nurses at the cancer center in Tiffin supported her during her fight with cancer.

Diane was a "jack of all trades," working in retail, as a floral designer, a soda jerk, a bookkeeper in construction and in banking, retiring from Old Fort Banking Company after 24 years of service. With Diane's love of dance, she was a member of Tiffin T-Squares for many years. Diane also enjoyed traveling, cooking, and reading. "Seeing death as the end of life is like seeing the horizon as the end of the ocean."

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio, 44883, (419) 447-3113.

A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2022, at Greenlawn Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. Marilyn Coney.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, F.A.C.T., or Cancer Patient Services of Hancock County.
