Dennis E. Pahl

Dennis E. Pahl, of Carey, passed away Monday, October 20, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

Dennis was born in Carey, February 19, 1947, to Leroy and Beatrice (Pressler) Pahl. He married the love of his life, Lana Connor, in 1993, and she survives in Carey.

He lived most of his life in Carey, where he attended Carey Schools. Denny joined the Army when he was 19 and spent his time in Vietnam as an Army Medic.

Denny was first married to Lois (Emerine) Risner, and they have a son, Nathan Pahl, and a grandson, Landon.

Denny worked for Fostoria Foundry and Lima Army Tank Plant for 30 years. After retirement, he became a bus driver for Carey and Angeline Schools.

He spent many years fishing on Lake Erie, his favorite hobby, and spending time with his grandson.

Denny was a 40-year-plus member of Alcoholics Anonymous, a true lifesaver.

Visitation for Dennis will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey, OH 43316. A prayer service will follow at 7 p.m. A private graveside service will be at a later date.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made in Dennis' honor to Wounded Warrior Project and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey.
