Dennis Henry Obituary

I will miss my friend Dennis from the prayer meetings and church. I know he dwells in peace now!

Dennis and I were frequent classmates K-12 and lived a few blocks from one another. He was a member of my mother's cub scout den. We both had older absent brothers so we shared many bonds. He rarely missed at the basketball free throw line. We grew apart as childhood friends sometimes do, yet he remains a most important part of my upbringing in Findlay. I am glad he approached me and met my partner at our last school reunion. His loss is too soon !

I remember Dennis, as we were young Christians at StMarks UMC on South Main in Findlay. Participating in church gatherings, youth programs, & Bible School, in addition to the weekly sundy school attendance & Church worshiping. Thank you Dennis for Christian Memories.

Dennis was my next door neighbor growing up and probably my first playmate. I remember summer days playing board games and listening to comedy records together when it was too hot to play outside. We were also in band together at Glenwood Jr. High and Findlay Senior High. We played basketball in his driveway and across the street. He was a good friend who wanted to serve Christ and did so through Operation Christmas Child and his church. I appreciated Dennis always taking the time to visit my parents when he was in town. He was my friend.

I came to know Dennis through Operation Christmas Child. He was a fine man who loved the Lord and served Him tirelessly. He was a caring and wonderful friend.

Condolences to the New Song Community family. Dennis was a wonderful man with a big heart. He took the time to stop by and kindly say hello to me in Georgia not too long ago. It felt like home to visit with him. He will be missed.

I have always been impressed with Dennis' prayer life and his willing spirit to serve.
Will miss you brother.

Dennis, I was honored to be your friend after serving together on the newly formed Columbus Area Operation Christmas Child team - you began this team as the regional office told me, "This is how we want every team to start: with a prayer team, and you have that being led by Dennis Henry." Thank you Dennis for your friendship, leadership, helping to bring people together, helping countless children with gift-filled shoeboxes covered in prayer, for doing everything in your power to bring the Uganda Amani Children's Choir to Columbus, for always asking, "How can I pray for you?" For not believing the boloney we sometimes respond with (I'm fine).
