Dean Carzoo Obituary

Rev. Dean Michael Carzoo

Rev. Dean Michael Carzoo died Friday, July 22, 2022, in Greenville, North Carolina.

Dean served churches in Pennsylvania and West Virginia before serving as Associate Pastor at First Presbyterian Church, Findlay. Dean served First Presbyterian Church for 30 years, from 1969â€"1999. He retired from the church as Pastor Emeritus. In addition, Dean served as Moderator of Maumee Valley Presbytery in 1999. Dean is fondly remembered by the First Presbyterian Church community.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Ann Carzoo; two sons, Mike and Andy; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, at First Presbyterian Church, New Bern, North Carolina. He will be inurned at the church columbarium. Donations, if desired, may be made to First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1069, New Bern, North Carolina, 28563-1069.

Dean always had kind words for those going through hard situations. Never one to affend. A man of God that you could trust. Blessing to his family in going forward. Know that he was loved.

In my faith journey Dean was one of my first memories outside of my parents. He always had kind words to use when offering guidance in following Christ. Rest in peace my friend.

I worked at the Findlay First Presbyterian when Rev. Carzoo was there. I always thought very highly of him and when my mother died, he conducted a graveside service for my family. You will be sorely missed. RIP
