David Turner Obituary
David E. Turner Sr., 80, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center.
He was born July 17, 1942, in Fostoria, to Dale and Mary (Fiesle) Turner. He married Sharon (Helm) Turner in 1971 and she preceded him in death in 2013.
Dave retired from Hancock Area Transportation Services as a driver. He loved to do woodworking and played Santa Claus for many years because he loved the holiday. If it were up to him, Christmas would be year-round.
Dave is survived by his children, Christina Zepeda, Diana (Larry) Turner, Lisa (Earl) Sleek, David E. Turner Jr., Jennifer (Johnny) Burdine, and Brenda (Scott) Miles; and grandchildren, Jacob Sleek, Joshua Sleek, Caleb Baldridge, Madilyn Baldridge, Johnny Burdine III, and Lillian Miles.
He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Turner; and siblings, Richard Turner, Betty (Robert) Nye, and Barbara (Richard) Swinehart.
Visitation for friends and family will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500. David's funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Dave's name may be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice.
