I remember Dave from Finder's, where a couple of my daughters worked years ago, and from his playing, which I heard on several occasions. He was always polite and affable. May he rest In peace.

Impossible to say how far reaching his influence will be, certainly far into the future. I owe a big debt to Dave. I've met very few with the same degree of passion toward intellectual pursuits as did Dave.

My daughter, Adriel, was one of Dave's guitar students a few years ago. She is now an accomplished double bassist, but Mr. Phillips was the one who got her started in music. His passion for the material was evident in every session, and we will always treasure our memories of him.

Dave will truly be missed as he has so many people who admired & loved him. He surely had an impact on my Son Jason. Jason loved him deeply . He was such a great friend to him. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
