Cherry A. Gutierrez

Cherry A. Gutierrez, 63, of Van Wert, passed away at Lima Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones, Monday, March 23, 2026. She was born to the late Joe P. Jr. and Alvina (Cisneros) Gutierrez in San Antonio, Texas, April 16, 1962.

Cherry is survived by her children, Steven Presley of Fostoria and Amanda (Christopher McBride) Presley of Van Wert; her grandchildren, Aiden, Matthew and Alvina; her brothers, Joe (Christy) Gutierrez III of Zephyrhills, Florida, Glenn Gutierrez, Mark ( Michelle Birdsell) Gutierrez and James (Wendee Atchison) Gutierrez, all of Findlay; her sisters, Mamie (Charles) Yeagle of Findlay and Idel (Joe) Probst of New Washington.

She was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Presley.

After graduating from high school, Cherry attended college and earned her associate's degree. She has worked as an office administrator.

She enjoyed socializing and organizing events at her apartment complex, and she loved watching her grandchildren's dance recitals and football games. Her grandchildren were her world. She loved to cook and shop for them. She was a wonderful "Grammy".

Visitation for family and friends will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2026, with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at St. Michael's Downtown Catholic Chapel, with the Rev. Scott Woods officiating.

Memorial contribu-tions may be offered to the Presley family.
