David A. Pfisterer

David A. Pfisterer 80, of Findlay, died at 9:18 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at his residence with his loving family at his side.

He was the son of the late Donald A. Pfisterer and Mary L. (Boyd) Pfisterer of Port Clinton. He married Nina R. Peterman in 1969 and she survives.

David is also survived by his son, Michael D. Pfisterer of Findlay; daughter, Amy E. (Kurt) Rosenwald of Medina; grandsons, Kade Rosenwald and Cole Rosenwald, both of Medina; and sisters, Ann Anzelmo of Columbus and Barbara Pfisterer of Williston.

Dave grew up on the shores of Lake Erie and was a 1961 graduate of Port Clinton High School. After graduating from Findlay College in 1968, he began his professional career in Texas with Vistron Corporation, a subsidiary of The Standard Oil Company of Ohio. Two years later, he was transferred to Champaign, Illinois, and in 1972, he returned to Ohio heading up aviation fuel sales for Sohio. In 1979, he joined Wilco Inc., a manufacturer of aviation refueling vehicles, as V.P. of sales. In 1987, he became President and co-owner of Dukes Transportation Services, also a manufacturer and marketer of aviation refueling vehicles.

Following his retirement in 2007, he continued to enjoy sailing, golfing, biking, kayaking, and spending summers on Lake Erie with his family and friends. He and Nina also traveled to Florida annually to spend the winter months.

Dave served in Ohio National Guard and Army Reserves from 1963-1969. He was a former member of Findlay Elks Lodge #75 and Port Clinton Moose Lodge #1610.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home. A family graveside service will be at Maple Grove Cemetery.
