David I. "Boomer" Bomer

David I. "Boomer" Bomer, 68, of Upper Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023, surrounded by family at Cleveland Clinic.

He was born Aug. 22, 1954, in Upper Sandusky, to Herbert I. and Mary L. (Hall) Bomer. David married Holly (Rigsby) Bomer on Oct. 20, 1984.

David is survived by his wife, Holly; children, Drew (Jacob) Miller Bomer of Dunkirk, Tiffany Bomer of Upper Sandusky, and Jarvis Bomer of Upper Sandusky; grandchildren, Zayden and Camden Miller; sister, Jane Rigsby; nieces and nephews, Dewayne Rigsby, Monnie Kyle Harden, Nicole Hobensack, Michael Rigsby, Ryan Rigsby, Rachel Crawford, Krista Rigsby, Aaron Rigsby, and Josh Rigsby; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Owen and Addalynn Crawford, Addison Rigsby, Dylan, Abby, Colton, Riley, and Rebecca Rigsby, and Noami Harden.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley A. Bomer; and brother-in-law, Paul D. Rigsby.

David graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1972. He was a life-time member of Beech Grove Wesleyan Church where he served as an usher, trustee, Sunday school superintendent, and sound system operator. David was owner and operator of Bomer's Exhaust and Auto Repair. He was an avid racer and raced in LaRue with his Camaro. He was a member of Wyandot County Rod and Gun Club, Wyandot County Cruisers, and Pheasants Forever. For hobbies, he enjoyed model trains, bowling, trap shooting, camping, fishing, and traveling with his wife. He liked sweet and spicy foods. The farm and shop brought meaning and purpose to his life. David was most happy when he was working. His family was a gift and he will forever be missed.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023, and 12-1:30 p.m. Saturday April 22, 2023, at Bringman Clark Funeral Home. David's funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Dean Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Bloom Cemetery, Vanlue.

Memorial contributions may be made to Beech Grove Wesleyan Church or Hope Lodge Cleveland in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home, 226 E. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351.

Holly and family, it was sad to hear of Dave's passing this week. It has been awhile since we were around you and Dave but he was always a happy & bubbly person and had a solution to any car/mechanical problem. I'm sure that had not changed over the years. He will be missed for sure.
