David Aller Obituary

David Aller

David N. Aller, 65, of McComb passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2023.

David was born in Findlay August 13, 1957, to the late Daniel Nelson and Dorothy (McDougle) Aller. He married the love of his life, Marty Combs, Dec. 19, 1981, at McComb Presbyterian Church and she survives in McComb.

Also, surviving are his loving children, Eric (Michelle) Aller of Tiffin, Brockman (Ginny) Aller of Rye Brook, New York, Andrea (Andrew) Van Atta, of McComb, Aaron Aller of Bowling Green, Troy Aller of Lima, Cynthia Aller of North Baltimore, Mariah Aller of Findlay, and Taisha Adams of Lima; ten grandchildren, Emmanuel Aller, Elyssia Aller, Allee Van Atta, Konnor Aller, Grady Van Atta, Eli Van Atta, Lacee Van Atta, Athena Aller, Wesley Aller and Amora Aller; two brothers Edwin Aller and Ralph (Nadine) Aller all of McComb; brother-in-law Steve Combs of Leipsic; and two sisters-in-law, Nedra and Janet Aller.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, William, Gerald and Fred Aller, Loretta Higgins and Kathryn Aller; and a sister-in-law Janet Hartman.

David was a 1975 graduate of McComb High School. He was owner and operator of Aller Sealcoating. David also worked at Shelly Corporation. David was a member of the Ohio Operating Engineer Union. David took great pride in his children's lives. He was a coach to his kids as well as many others over the years, something his kids often heard firsthand when so many referred to him as Coach Aller. David and Marty had a true love for children. He was a foster parent for 37 years, helping raise and impact the lives of around 200 children while in their home. David had a great sense of humor and was a caring and compassionate individual who would help anyone in a time of need.

What I loved about Dave was he was so friendly, if you could catch him. He didn't know a stranger. He was an amazing family man, he loved his kids. He was crazy about Marty too. One of a kind; I know he will be missed. We hold onto our memories and look forward to the future reunion. -Hebrews14:15,16
