Curtis Waller Obituary
Curtis Richard Waller, 83, of Findlay, went to be with the Lord Friday, Dec. 6, 2024, at Sunrise Assisted Living. Curt was born Nov. 22, 1941, to the late Bert and Minerva (Bowen) Waller and was raised in Fort Gay, West Virginia. As a teenager, he moved to Findlay and married Gloria Valentine on April 30, 1966. She preceded him in death Dec. 21, 2021.
Curt is survived by his son, James (Sherry) Waller; daughter, Angela Lerma; three grandchildren, Nick (Sara) Lerma, Race (Bunny) Lerma and Berty Lerma; and his brothers, Earl Jay and Roger (Barb) Waller.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Daniel Lerma; sisters Beatrice Phillips and Brookie (Jerry) See; and brothers James "Roy" Waller and Claude Waller.
Curt joined Findlay Fire Department on June 10, 1971, and was promoted to Captain Sept. 19, 1976. He retired from the department Feb. 18, 1990. He also owned and operated his own appliance repair business, Waller Appliance Repair.
A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Curt to Sunrise Assisted Living.
