Chase Long
Chase Long, 15, of Findlay, gained his angel wings Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, surrounded by those he loved.
Chase was born June 8, 2007, in Toledo, to Chase Breitigam and Veronica (Eve) Hernandez of Findlay. He was adopted Oct. 6, 2014, by Joseph and Joya Long of Findlay, previously of McComb. This began his united family journey. His smile would light up a room and will be deeply missed by all who knew him!
Chase is survived by siblings, Amir Breitigam, Josiah Johnson, Caine Breitigam, Alyssa (Ryan Brooks) Long, Serena (Francis) Gamboa, Alicia (Josh) Agapiou, Matt (Dawn) Long, Damen (Amber) Long, Tara (Brian) Johnson, Joseph (Brandy) Long III, Steve Karpuleon, and his beloved therapy dog, Zoe'; grandparents, Karen King, Ronaldo (Bonnie) Hernandez, and Bobbie Breitigam; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Chase enjoyed music, especially Maroon 5 and Christmas songs. He enjoyed riding Slyvie and Cisco for horse therapy at Challenged Champions, swim therapy with Jim Beeson, and running bases "fast" while playing for the Yankees Miracle League team. Days at the lake watching the sea gulls and listening to the Jet Express horn were some of his favorite things to do. Chase was a fighter, but he will now be able to run and play in Heaven.
Waiting for him with open arms will be his siblings, Caesar Breitigam and Bobbi Jo Karpuleon; grandparents, Joe and Frances Long Sr., Ramon and Carol Ortega III, Bill and Iola Swick, and Christopher Michael Breitigam; and birth dad, Chase Breitigam.
Special thanks to Bridge Home Health Therapy, Bridge Personal Care Services, Bridge Hospice, and his Independent Nurses!
