Charles Levi Bright

Charles Levi Bright, 93, of Findlay, Ohio passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024, at The Heritage Health Care Center.

He was born in Findlay, March 23, 1931, to Weldon and Hilda (Rangeler) Bright, who preceded him in death. On May 13, 1951, he was married to Celia Ann "Sally" (Cook) Bright, who survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Rene (David) Crossman of Toledo, and Lori (Victor) Swope of Columbus; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who made his life happy.

Also preceding him in death were his parents; his brother, Robert Bright; and sisters, Doris Barchent and Janet Kohli.

Charles was a member of Howard United Methodist Church, Findlay, serving as a Sunday School teacher, lay leader, and was on various committees. He was a grocer for the A & P Grocery Store, and later worked construction at Petti Construction. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Charles enjoyed sailing on Sandusky Bay. He built one of the sailboats, enjoyed wood working in his shop, and painting.

The family would like to thank the Staff at The Heritage Estates for their kindness and caring. Also, the Cook family for their dedication and loyalty to "Uncle".

His visitation will be from 1:30-3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2024, with a funeral service following at 3 p.m. at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, in Findlay, with Pastor Gay Blau and Marianne Higley officiating. The burial will be immediately following at Maple Grove Cemetery, where full military honors will be presented by The Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
