Catherine Yoxtheimer Obituary
Catherine Susan "Cathy" Yoxtheimer, 72, of Findlay, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at Birchaven Village under hospice care.
She was born March 3, 1951, in Fostoria, to Clarence and Esther B. (Rangeler) McCormick.
Cathy was a Vanlue High School graduate. After graduating, she attended Owens Community College and began her new career as an IT Specialist. Cathy was an avid NASCAR fan, with her favorite driver being Chase Elliott. She had many talents and hobbies that included sewing, gardening, crossword puzzles, reading, and not to mention, she enjoyed the outdoors. Above all, Cathy loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons, Jonathan (Christi) Yoxtheimer and Bryan Yoxtheimer (Becky Dunbar); grandchildren, Kelsie Davis, Kayler Yoxtheimer, Kamee Yoxtheimer, Chase Gonyer, and Tobias Yoxtheimer; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Davis, Isabella Howard, Lennon Love, and Hendrix Love; and brothers, Mike (Carol) McCormick and Denton McCormick (Doreen Horlick).
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Michael McCormick.
Visitation for friends and family will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, July 21, 2023, and 10-11 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500. Cathy's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Vanlue.
Memorial contributions in Cathy's name can be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice or Cancer Patient Services.

I was probably Cathy´s oldest friend as I remember playing dolls with her before either of us started school. Life took us in different directions, however, every March 3rd I would remember her birthday. Did not realize until Sunday while visiting church in Vanlue that she was suffering from cancer! How I envy her strolling the streets of Heaven!
May we meet up once again where there is no pain and we will once again visit.....Becky Moorhead Bunn
