Catherine Petersen Obituary
Catherine L. "Cathy" Petersen, 65, of Ada, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.
She was born June 20, 1959, in Lima, to Danny and Norma (LaRue) Preston. Her father, Danny Preston, and mother, Norma Rex, preceded her in death. Cathy was previously married to Merit M. Conley. She then married John Petersen on Oct. 21, 2000, and he survives in Ada.
Cathy is also survived by two daughters, Jordan (Russell) Girdler of Findlay and Abby (Brent) Luchini of Wapakoneta; four grandchildren, Caiden, Lucy, Kennedy, and Isabelle; brother, Bill (Barb) Preston of Alger; and several nieces.
She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Rusty.
Cathy retired from Ada Technologies where she worked as an assembler.
Cathy's funeral was 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada, with the Rev. Ben Buzhardt officiating. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery, 3786 County Road E, Deshler, Ohio, 43516.
Visitation was 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Auglaize Bible Church, P.O. Box 228, Harrod, Ohio, 45850, or Bridge Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, Ohio, 45840.
