Carolyn Sue Luckhardt

Carolyn Sue (Zoll) Luckhardt, 86, of Findlay, entered eternal rest Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, at Judson Palmer Home in Findlay.

She was born Jan. 11, 1938, in Tiffin to the late Sylvester (Skip) Zoll and Virginia Zoll.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) Luckhardt; brother, Jack Zoll; sister, Betty Smith; daughter-in-law, Wendy (Hagen) Robenalt; and grandson, Luke Robenalt.

She is survived by her children; Joni (Leonard) Krutsinger of Findlay, John Robenalt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jeff (Denise) Robenalt and Jerry (Cynde) Robenalt of San Antonio, Texas; and her two bonus children, Carol (Joe) Redfield of San Antonio, Texas and Andy Luckhardt of Londonderry, New Hampshire. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren: Lindi, Steven, Chelsea, Anne, Luke, Dan, Emily, Michael, Jacob, Jessica, Lauren, Neil, Sarah, Jaclyn, and Crystal; who then gifted her with 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Lou (Zoll) Hohman; sister-in-law, Margaret Zoll; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sue was a 1956 graduate of Calvert High School. She married and traveled the world as a supportive military wife. He younger years were dedicated to raising her children. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church where she embraced her faith. Sue enjoyed reading, writing letters and cards, and was always the holiday decorator and clothing fashionista. During her working years, she served as an administrative assistant and in her retirement, she enjoyed fishing (but never baiting the hook) and the Berkshire mountains. Once widowed, she moved to be closer to her daughter in Ohio. She served at Brookdale Assisted Living as a Welcome Ambassador to those who were interested in making Brookdale their new home. When the time came, she made the necessary move over to the Judson Palmer Home, and the family is forever grateful for this provision.

The family would like to send their deepest gratitude to the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living and the Judson Palmer Home for the compassionate care given to our mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Visitation for Sue will be from 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, Findlay, Ohio. A rosary, led by niece Terri Werling, will be 9:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary. Private burial will follow.
