Carol Hingson

Carol Hingson, 88, of Findlay, died at 8:10 p.m. Friday, November 28, 2025, at Brookdale Senior Living, Findlay. She was born August 26, 1937, in Findlay to the late Ralph and Ruth (Saltz) Zellers. She married Robert Ball, February 14, 1954, they were divorced, and he preceded her in death in June 1980. She later married William Ray Hingson, December 23, 1976, and he preceded her in death in April 2001.

Carol is survived by her son, Larry Ball of Findlay; daughters, Kathryn (James) Sims of Robinson, Illinois, Bonnie (Michael) Harris of Logan and Brenda (Tim) O'Reilly of Woodville; sisters, Marjorie Hamlin of Findlay, Norma Smith of Findlay, and Rebecca Burgard of Findlay; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Susan (Mark) Marshall of Bluffton, Jeff Hingson of Findlay, Bonnie (Barry) Hamilton of Bluffton, Chris (Amy) Hingson of Findlay, Scott (Toni) Hingson of Powell, Sara Hingson of Findlay, and Mark (Nancy) Hingson of Clarmont, Florida; seven stepgrandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by sons, Duane Ball and Steven Ball; daughter, Diana Ball; and sister, Jean Barrett.

Carol retired from Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. after 22 years. She was an auxiliary member of D.A.V. No. 43 and AMVETS Post 21, both in Findlay.

Her funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, where visitation will be two hours from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. prior to service. Burial will be at Van Horn Cemetery.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
