Carol J. Brodine

The world lost a lovely lady when Carol Brodine passed away Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2024, at The Heritage after a long illness. Carol was born Dec. 15, 1949, in Findlay to Vernon and Treva (Everett) Steinman, who preceded her in death. She married Gary Brodine in Findlay, and they later divorced.

Carol is survived by her son, Brent (Michelle) Brodine of Findlay; and her grandchildren, Brandi (Logan) Feeney, Paige (Jed) Walker and Carson (Raylee) Brodine; as well as seven great-grandchildren. She is survived by sisters, Diana Porter of Arden, North Carolina and Amy (Ronald) Rash of Findlay; brother, Jim Steinman of Media, Pennsylvania; and nephews, Derek, Tyler and Levi.

Carol graduated from Findlay High School in 1968 and worked at Findlay Public Library, Columbia Gas, and then Kuss Corporation for 20 years, where she retired.

Carol was a loving and devout Christian as a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, where she sang in the church choir and participated in group projects for years. She also attended Upper Room Church of God. She enjoyed singing hymns and reading the Bible. One of her favorite verses was Psalm 7:10: "My shield is God most high, who saves the upright in heart."

Carol's activities included babysitting her grandchildren when they were young, visiting with family and friends, cooking, knitting, sewing, traveling, watching various television shows, and baseball.

Carol's family extends their gratitude to the people and staff at Blanchard House, The Heritage, and Bridge Hospice for the care they gave in her later years.

A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, with Bishop McBeath officiating. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. Friday until the time of service.
