Bonnie Sue Rayle

Bonnie Sue Rayle, 76, of Findlay, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was born July 21, 1947, in Defiance, to Lois (Tracy) and Ray Thrasher. She married James E. Burkett in 1966, they later divorced, and he preceded her in death. She married Donald F. Rayle Jr. in 1978 and he also preceded her in death.

Bonnie was a loving sister, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed watching her grandkids grow up and play sports. She thoroughly enjoyed visits from her great-grandchildren.

Bonnie was a graduate of Oakwood High School in 1965. She attended nursing school at Bowling Green State University and earned her LPN license. Bonnie spent her career in, and retired from, nursing and home health care. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and crocheting, cooking, putting countless puzzles together with family and friends, keeping up with her friends and family on Facebook, and making her homemade noodles. She made many dear friends over the years and especially ones at Senior Towers and The Oaks at Birchhaven where she lived in recent years.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Brian (Bonnie) Burkett of Findlay, Lori Burkett of Kenton, Lisa (Jason) Lanning of McComb, and Jack (Rori) Burkett of North Baltimore; grandchildren, Jake (Kik) Lanning of Findlay, Dillon and Hunter Burkett of Findlay, and Jenna Lanning (Zack) of Findlay; great-grandchildren, Claire, Bentley, and Oliver; siblings, Sally (Maurice) Valcernghi of Chico, California, Marie Mondek of Ringgold, Georgia, Louise (Brad) Collins of Centerburg, Tim Thrasher of Findlay, Mike Thrasher of Defiance, Mary Jane (Don) Gatten of Springfield, Missouri, Tony Brown of Rosebud, Arkansas, and Joe Thrasher of McComb; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and baby brother, Thomas Ray Thrasher.

The family would like to extend a thank you to everyone who helped with her care during this difficult time, especially the dedicated doctors, nurses, and staff of Bridge Home Health Hospice.

Visitation for friends and family will be 12-2 and 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500. Bonnie's funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, at the funeral home with visitation from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bonnie's name can be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Findlay.
