The earliest memory I have of Bodo is when he first came to the US. We met at a house near the University of Findlay. This was also the time he met Mary. As our friendship grew, we played guitar together. I stayed in their house trailer for a time after moving back to Findlay from college in New York. Carole (Elchert) and I were able to stay with them again in Frankfurt. After they moved back to the US, I spent a lot of time playing guitar with Bodo at their house on Co. Rd. 37. At that time, they were neighbors. I will miss seeing Bodo every morning at Coffee Amici where talked enthusiastically about his guitars and amps. I also got excited when talking about current politics. The photo shows Carole, Bodo and myself in Amsterdam circa: 1989. Philip Sugden
