Beverly Franks Obituary
Beverly JoAnn Franks, 79, of Carey, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023, at home.
Beverly was born Aug. 10, 1943, in Columbus, to Stanley Bernard and Helen (Fox) Drumm. She graduated from Lancaster High School.
Beverly married Lanny Franks on Aug. 24, 1963. Beverly and Lanny moved their young family to Carey when Lanny was transferred with General Mills. Lanny preceded Beverly in death Feb. 3, 2000. Beverly and David Pierce then enjoyed each other's company for the past 19 years.
Beverly loved to spend time with her family and made every Christmas special. Her Christmas sugar cookies were family famous and no one was able to recreate her chocolate chip cookies. In her younger years, Beverly enjoyed working with flowers, playing scrabble, and Bingo.
Beverly, or Bevvy as she was known by her family and friends, will be missed by her daughter, Lori Johnson (Shawn Taylor) of Carey; grandsons, Caden (Mackenzie) Johnson and Alec Johnson; great-grandchildren, Logan, Piper, and Josie; brother, Ray (Helen) Drumm; many nieces and nephews; Shawn's children, Alexis (Seth) Dufendock and Steffen (Mercedes) Taylor; and grandchildren, Dawsyn, Adler and Muse.
Beverly was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott Franks; and sister, Patricia (Fred) Murray.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Stombaugh-Batton Funeral Home, Carey. Beverly's funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the funeral home with minister Ryan Clouse officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.
Donations may be made in Beverly's honor to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, Ohio, 45840.
