BettyLou E. Roberts

BettyLou Edythe Roberts, 79, of Van Buren, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, Aug. 7, 2023.

BettyLou is now reunited with her beloved husband, Henry R. Roberts, who passed away Jan. 20, 2012. BettyLou and Henry shared a wonder life together and were married almost 50 years.

BettyLou was born March 16, 1944, in Port Clinton, to Richard and Cora (Schultz) Witt. She was a Harris Elmore High School graduate, class of 1962. She worked as a telephone operator and was a homemaker. BettyLou was a faithful member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Findlay, and was involved in many volunteer positions throughout the church. Her favorite hobby was sewing. Her greatest accomplishments in life were connected to her family. She loved them dearly and loved spending time with them.

BettyLou's blessed legacy includes her loving children, Cindy (Keith) Decker of Findlay, Mike (Jackie) Roberts of Deshler, and Crissy Roberts of Lakeland, Florida; nine adored grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Ron (Sharon) Witt of Northwood; sisters, Barb Sobecki of Toledo, Ginger Lehmann of Genoa, and Carolyn Starnes of Oak Harbor; and brother-in-law, John Baer of Curtice.

Also gone before BettyLou are her parents; and siblings, Mildred Smith, Alvin Witt, Wilbur Witt, Richard Witt, Ervin Witt, Barbara Ann Elsie Witt, Anna Lane, Karl Witt, Joanne Pettit, and Kate Baer.

Visitation for friends and family will be 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023, and 12 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2023, until the time of BettyLou's funeral at 1 p.m. at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, 419-422-1500. Pastor Doris Mars will officiate. Interment will follow at Bechtel Cemetery, Van Buren.
