Betty Brown Obituary

Betty L. Brown

Betty L. Brown, 93, of Findlay, passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. Betty was born July 17, 1931, to the late James Gearld and Ruby (Aldrich) Smith in Trenton Township, Henry County, Iowa. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in Iowa and attended one year of college in Kirksville, Missouri.

Surviving Betty are her children, Pamela Starr (Mark Rosenberger) and Gregg (Dottie) Hauman, both of Findlay, and Kim (Rick) Cairnes of The Woodlands, Texas. Betty is also survived by her grandchildren, Angela (Rodney) Woods, Kerri Hauman (Todd Boak), Aaron Hauman, and Hannah (Jamie) Torrance; three great-grandchildren, Lynann Matheny and Reed and Ellis Boak.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Haines of Winfield, Iowa; grandson, Jason Ward of Findlay; and great-grandson, Mason Ward.

Betty was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Findlay, Trinity Cut-Ups, and Augsburg Circle. She was also a volunteer at Blanchard Valley Hospital through its auxiliary. She enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, and taking care of her family. Betty also worked at JCPenney in the catalog department for many years.

Private family service and burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in Betty's name to Bridge Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, Ohio 45840, or a charity of donor's choice.
