Bertrand Ragas Obituary

Bertrand Bernard Ragas departed this life on Monday, August 22, 2022 at his home in Port Sulphur LA. He was 86 years old and a proud veteran of the United States Army and Air Force. Son of the late Leo and Maria Parker Ragas. Husband of the late Teresa Bartholomew Ragas. Father of Neil Ragas, Bryant Ragas, Peter Ragas, Patty Ragas, Denell Ragas and the late Robin Ragas. Brother of the late Edmond (Albertine) Ragas, Walter (Gladys) Ragas, Agnes Williams and Dorothy Ragas. Brother in law of Joseph (Deborah) Bartholomew, Kimberly Bartholomew. Jason Bartholomew and the late Louis Bartholomew Jr. Mr. Ragas is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and devoted friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church located at 28698 LA-23, Port Sulphur LA. The visitation will begin at 9 a.m. followed by Mass at 11 A.M. Father Gerald Stapleton will officiate, Mr. Ragas will be laid to rest with his late wife Teresa in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery located at 34888 Grantham College Dr, Slidell LA. 70460 on Friday, September 9, 2022 with full military honors.
