Benjamin D. Miracle

Benjamin D. Miracle, 75, of Findlay, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.

He was born Dec. 17, 1948, in Rayne, Louisiana, the son of Woodrow and Agnes (Monceaux) Miracle. He was first married to Delphia Jean Miracle, of Findlay, for 34 years, and they later separated. He then married Judith Ann Bloom-Miracle in 2013 and she preceded him in death in 2020.

Benjamin is also survived by his son, Corey (Heather) Miracle of Rawson; daughters, Vanessa Miracle of Findlay and Nona (Matt) Ketcham of Bluffton; brother, Cornelius Miracle of Lexington, Kentucky; sister, Nora (Chuck) Aquilina of Michigan; seven grandchildren, Madison and James Leo Miracle, Jacob and Wesley Ward, Faith and Owen Sammet, and Clarke Ketcham; great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Greyson Stanfield; and beloved dog, Princess.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Andrew Miracle; and sister, Louetta Dunn.

Benjamin was an U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam and volunteered in the Hancock County Crisis Intervention Team working with law enforcement and dispatchers. He was formerly a volunteer with Jenera Fire Department and member of Moose Lodge and Bluffton Presbyterian Church. He worked as a security officer at the Best Buy distribution center in Findlay. He was also active at Hancock County Senior Center and Mt. Cory Masonic Lodge.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2024, and 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024, until the time of Benjamin's funeral at 11 a.m., all at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Bishop Kenneth McBeath will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
