Becky Kibbey Obituary

Becky Jean Kibbey

Becky Jean Kibbey, 73, of Findlay, died at 6:08 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, at Birchaven Care Center in Findlay.

Becky was born Jan. 25, 1950, in Findlay, to Ivan Gene and Teresa A. (Alge) Nesler, who preceded her in death.

She married Dr. William J. Kibbey, DDS on June 29, 1970, and became the Corporate Secretary for William J. Kibbey DDS Inc.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; son, Benjamin Kibbey of Norwalk, Connecticut; daughters, Megan Kibbey of North Charleston, South Carolina, and Bridget (John) Kibbey of Manhattan, New York; brothers, David Nesler and Stephen (Mary) Nesler, both of Findlay; sisters, Cynthia Thomas of Upper Sandusky, Sally (Ralph) Belfiglio of Findlay, Amy (Bob) Johnston of Findlay, Beth (Scott) Dufford of Midland, Texas, and Lisa (Daniel) Kendrick of Findlay; and two grandchildren, William and Isabella Kibbey.

Beloved by so many, Becky gave to all around her in humble, beautiful ways. She made others laugh and feel heard - from doting on her seven siblings at a young age to her many years as devoted wife and mother. She had a knack for sensing what every Kibbey kid, niece, or nephew needed during their early adult years - mailing hundreds of whimsical, prolific care packages! She served for many years as a leader in Christian Women's Club and Bible Study Fellowship.

Becky was a gifted interior designer, clothes-maker, and ahead of her time in all things aesthetic.

She made every day feel like a holiday. She showed us how to love like Jesus loves and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Becky's services will be private at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 West Sandusky Street, Findlay.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.

Becky and I became friends shortly after the Neslers moved to Liberty Street. Their large, active household was a contrast to mine and I was grateful to be included in their lives. The comments in Becky's obit are spot on - she always thought of others, and made this world a better place.
