Barbara Ann Zimmerly

Barbara Ann Zimmerly, 82, died Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Sunrise Senior Living, Findlay, from complications of Lewy Body Dementia.

She was born Nov. 16, 1940, in Wapakoneta, to Helen (Wisener) and Kermit Katterheinrich. She married Denver (Junior) Zimmerly on April 2, 1960, and they celebrated 60 years of marriage before his death Nov. 29, 2020.

She is survived by two daughters, Amber (Tom) Leiner of McComb and Lisa (Tim) Ervin of Findlay; three grandchildren, Tyler (Jennifer) Leiner of Findlay, Alex (Shelby) Ervin of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Tessa Ervin of Cincinnati; three great-granddaughters, Aliza and Isla Leiner and Lily Ervin; and three brothers-in-law, Robert (Ann) Badertscher and Owen (Kay) Ziessler of Bluffton, and Mahlon Harrod of Harbor Springs, Michigan.

Barbara was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Nancy Harrod; brother, James Katterheinrich; and brother-in-law and sister in law, Larry and Shirley Zimmerly.

After graduating from Bluffton High School in 1958, she worked at Triplett Corp. and Ohio Oil Co. She worked for 20 years for Hancock County Treasurer's Office in Findlay. She was Chief Deputy Treasurer for 12 years.

She enjoyed planting and arranging flowers, crafting, and knitting. She also enjoyed traveling to the western United States each year with many good friends. She loved all candy, pies, cookies, and cakes. She never met a sweet she didn't enjoy!

A private graveside service will take place. Interment will be at Clymer Cemetery, Mt. Cory.

Kirkpatrick-Behnke will assist with services.
