Barbara Staley Obituary

Barbara Staley

Barbara Staley, 71, of Westerville and formerly of Carey, passed away Monday, May 19, 2025.

Barbara was born March 23, 1954, in Kenton, to the late Carl "Shorty" and Eloise (Cross) Lawrence. She married Ronald Staley on September 29, 1970, and he preceded her in death March 4, 2007. Barbara is survived by her children, Brian Staley, Joy (Troy) Gibson, Keith (Paula) Staley and Kathi (John) Blanton; 11 grandchildren, Trenton, Trevor (Carrie), Kacie (Drew), Kyle, Destiney, Levi, Taylor, Christopher, KJ, Kelsey and Brianna; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters; a brother; and her significant other, James Adkins.

She was preceded in by a brother; sister; and a daughter-in-law, Tiffany Staley.

Barbara was a member of Crawford Church in Carey. Barbara enjoyed traveling, especially when she got the opportunity to go on a cruise; over 70 in her lifetime. She loved playing a good game of cards, especially solitaire and poker. Barbara was strong-willed, feisty, and very family-oriented. She loved her family deeply and would do anything for them.

Visitation for Barbara will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2025, at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey. Barbara's Celebration of Life Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the funeral home. Pastors Cynthia Morrison and Jim Sharrett will officiate. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's honor to Ohio Living Health Hospice.
