Barbara Spitler-Clark Obituary

Barbara A. Spitler-Clark

Barbara Ann Spitler-Clark, 88, went home to be with the Lord May 23, 2025. Born to Frank and Elizabeth Tinder on April 8, 1937, in Richmond, Indiana.

Barbara attended primary school in Tiffin, where her father owned the Singer sewing machine store. During her secondary school years, the family moved to Findlay, where she would graduate from Findlay Senior High School. During her time at Findlay High School, she met Joe Spitler, whom she would marry June 24, 1956.

Barbara worked at the Ohio Bell office in Findlay before and after she married Joe until the birth of their first child when she traded in her headset at Ma Bell to be a homemaker, wife, and mother. Barbara was known to her family as a "Good Cooker," so named by David at the age of three.

Barbara was preceded in death by both of her parents; as well as Joseph; her son, Bill; son-in-law, Joey; grandsons, Jonathan and Bruce; and granddaughter, SarahKay.

Barbara was delighted to fall under the gaze of Mr. David B. Clark, whom she would marry July 14, 2007, in Findlay, where they lived for almost 18 years as man and wife.

Barb is survived by her husband David; children, John (Debbie) of Charleston, South Carolina, Lisa (Andy) Wilson of Sumter, South Carolina, Susan Conine of Findlay, and David (Julie) of Findlay; as well as nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Primrose Retirement Community as well as Bridge Hospice of Findlay for the loving care given to Barbara.
