Anne R. Riker
Anne R. Riker, 94, of Lake County, Florida, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, February 11, 2025. She was born in Findlay October 10, 1930, the eldest of six children born to Harley R. and Myrtle E. (Steinman) Woods. She was a three-year member of the marching and concert bands of Findlay Senior High School and graduated in 1948. On February 12, 1949, she married Edwin C. Riker in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Anne was employed at Findlay Public Library and United Appraisal Co. She lived in Findlay until 1973, when she and her family moved to
Leesburg, Florida. She retired in 1996 after serving 20 years employed at several Lake County insurance agencies. Over the years, Anne spent her free time with reading, genealogy research, quilting, and crafts. Her volunteer work included filing in the genealogy department at the Leesburg Public Library for many years. Her volunteer work also included making more than 12,000 greeting cards for her church to use in their ministry.
Anne is survived by her three daughters, Cheryl Ann Fedkiw (Richard) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Phyllis Elizabeth Bare (Kenneth) of Eustis, Florida, and Doris Marie Lemonovich of Tavares, Florida. Survivors include four grandchildren, Kenneth Bare Jr. of Sorrento, Florida, Matthew Bare of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Kathleen Mahoney of Orange City, Florida, and Carl Jay Dyer of St. Libory, Illinois; and nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Kathleen Loy of Moultrie, Georgia.
Anne's husband, Edwin, died April 27, 2012, after their marriage of 63 years. Anne was also preceded in death by her four brothers, Robert W. Woods, Edward E. Woods, Joseph M. Woods, and Harold R. Woods.
In June 1987 she became a charter member of Mid-Lakes Christian Church, later known as Adventure Christian Church, and now known as CompassLife Church in Tavares, Florida. She worshipped there regularly and was the last continuous charter member. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery beside her husband.

A private reception will be for her immediate family at a later date to celebrate Anne as a role model for her loving family and her amazing 94 years.
