Anna Mae was a member of the Class of 1955 at Carey High School, where she was a majorette for four years. She worked at Westinghouse, retiring in 1997 after 40 years of service. Anna Mae was a member of the Our Lady of Consolation Church, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Anna Mae lived for her family and found her greatest happiness in caring for those she loved. She worked hard all her life and showed her love in quiet, meaningful ways-through home-cooked meals, fresh-baked treats, especially her chocolate chip cookies, and time spent in her garden. She loved canning what she grew, always thinking ahead to the next meal or the next person she could share with. Being a wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great-grandma was what mattered most to her, and she was deeply proud of the many generations that came from her love. Anna Mae's presence was steady, warm, and comforting, and she will be missed more than words can express.
Services for Anna Mae will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey.
