Andrew Bardwell Harley 67, of Carey passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026.

Andrew Bardwell Harley, born in Denver, Colorado, to the late Dorothy Ann Harley and Richard Kenneth Harley, lived a life rooted in love, family, and simple joys. He later made his home in Carey, where he built a life surrounded by those who meant the most to him.

He was the devoted husband of Sonja Harley and a loving father to Keith Spurlock (Miranda Spurlock), Autumn Harley (Kyle Nolen), and Heather Harley (Lee Berg). His greatest pride and joy were his grandsons, Dempsey and Maguire Bowers, who brought him endless happiness and purpose and a sister, Priscilla Harley-Gordon.

He loved his children and grandchildren more than life itself and found happiness in the simple pleasures-playing in his garden, spending time with family, mixing up sour lemonades, teas, and smoothies, sitting outside in the hot sun, and cheering on his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. A true foodie and self-proclaimed food critic, Andrew especially enjoyed great seafood, sushi, and barbecue, and was always ready with honest, memorable reviews.

Some of his most treasured memories were made during trips to Houston, Texas, shared with his daughters and grandsons, filled with laughter, warmth, and togetherness.

Andrew was incredibly social and often the loudest guy in the room. He wore the biggest smile and grin, and his presence could instantly light up any gathering. One of his favorite reminders to others was to never forget to smell the roses, a phrase he lived by and shared often, encouraging everyone to enjoy every single moment. He regularly wished others peace, love, and goodness, values he carried in both word and action.

Above all else, Andrew will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his larger-than-life personality, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. His legacy lives on through the love he poured into his children and grandchildren, the laughter he shared, and the gentle reminder he leaves behind as he says goodbye for now.
