Aaron Gardner Obituary

Aaron Daniel Gardner

Aaron D. Gardner, 21, was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident Thursday, May 16, 2024.

He was the son of Corey and Rebecca Gardner, the youngest of their three children. He was born April 17, 2003, Findlay.

Aaron is survived by his parents; brother, Brandon (Abby Zimmerman); sister, Ashley (Andrew Golus); maternal grandparents, Jeff and Carol VanAtta; paternal grandparents, Jim and Jenny Gardner; and paternal great-grandmother, Ruth Gardner.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mark Hollar; paternal grandmother, Deborah Smith; paternal great-grandmother, Pat Hulbert; and maternal great-grandpa, Arthur Lentz.

He was a 2021 Elmwood High School graduate, currently actively serving in U.S. Army National Guard stationed at McConnelsville, and employed at FMT (Kreate) in Findlay as a tow motor driver.

To know Aaron was a blessing. He loved with all his heart. When he set out to accomplish something, he never gave up. He believed that with hard work and determination that anything was possible. He was always willing to help out a fellow guardsman or friend if they needed it. Whenever Aaron was called upon, he would be there, ready and willing to help in anyway needed.

Aaron had two great loves in his life. He loved being a soldier and he loved riding his motorcycle. Rain, shine, cold, or hot it didn't matter! To Aaron, every day was a great day to ride. He would tell family "it made him feel free." Aaron will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. Wednesday May 22, 2024, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, 205 W. Sandusky Street, Findlay. Aaron's funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the funeral home. Pastor James A. Klausing will officiate and interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.
