Jean Dorn Obituary

Jean E. Dorn

Jean E. Dorn passed away abruptly on Sunday, February 1, 2026. She was the daughter of Lauren and Delores (Turpin) Wells. She was united in marriage to Tom Dorn on October 4, 1974. Jean lived for her God and her family. She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses as a teenager. Tom and Jean were blessed with five children: Tishri, Mary, Joshua, Jeffrey, and Jenna.

Jean worked for Reedsburg Schools -- "Lunch Lady" at Prairie Ridge. It was a good fit for Jean because of her love for children. The way she nurtured her own children motivated her daughters collectively to adopt 21 children. She would want all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to be named. Tishri and Clint Carlson's children are: Erin Even, Taejon Carlson, Evan Carlson, Tynia Goodrich, Kyana Carlson, Andre Carlson, Deonte Carlson, Cashton Carlson, Aiden Carlson, and Liam Carlson. Mary Osgood's children are: Azaria, Vitaly, Aliya, Lily, Alexander, Jaxon, Deziree, Bella, Zaylie, Lana, Kai, and Isaak. Jenna and Luke Repka's children are: Diamond, Alice, and Charlie. Her great-grandchildren are Lincoln, Adela, and Evander Even; Colter Carlson; Waylon, and Kyrin Goodrich; Audee Carlson.

Jean is survived by her husband, Tom, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; brother, John (Cheri) Wells; sister, Jackie Wells; sister, Janet (Joel) Kasten; niece, Alana Pearman. Jean and Janet were identical twins--soul mates. The one made the other complete.

Jean looked forward to the promise of a new heaven and a new earth where all children will be nurtured and loved no matter where they come from.

A Memorial Service for Jean will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the Farber Funeral Home in Reedsburg. Greg Wheeler will be the officiant. Visitation will be on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
