I was saddened to hear of Bill's passing. To his family my sincere sympathy and prayers. I met Bill while working at Churchill's on Central avenue fifty years ago. Our Irish heritage destined our friendship. It turned out our father's knew each other.
In my memory there are many happy times together at Notre Dame football games. Bill was a "Super Fan" as everyone found out that met him. I remember many a night at John Connolly's Irish Pub and Biddy Mulligan's with Bill, Jimmy and Chuck Gorman singin' and a gabbin'.
May God bless you and keep you until we meet again.

I worked with Bill at Churchill's on Byrne over a half century ago. He was always a a cheerful and upbeat person whom I was glad to meet.

My heartfelt sympathy to the Galvin family.
Wife, sons and Sister Mary Elizabeth. To me he was always Billy my cousin. When I shopped at Churchill on Byrne Road... I addressed him as Bill. He was always there to help in the produce department. He was very dedicated to Churchills.
May he rest in peace.

I worked with Bill at Churchills when I was in college and he was the dairy manager. He helped train me to be his replacement when he would have a day off. He was totally committed to doing a good job at Churchills. Going to hoist a Hudepohl beer in your name tonight.

So sad to hear this news. I went to grade school with Bill and caught up with him later in life at an Irish Pub or two. He and I would have a few beers, share school day memories, Politics, Notre Dame football, and what a Blessing it was to be Irish. My sincerest condolences to his family.
