William Lee Buntin-Frost
William Lee "Bill" Buntin-Frost, 80, of Ada, passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, surrounded by his family.
Bill was born April 8, 1943, in Lima, to (Margaret) Pauline Rigg and Russell H. Frost. He married his high school sweetheart, Kaye Ellen Launders, on Dec. 26, 1964, and they shared a wonderful married life together for 59 years.
He is survived by his wife, Kaye; daughter, Michelle (Douglas) Peterson of Huron; son, Eric Frost of Ada; two grandchildren, Zachary Peterson of Columbus and Megan Peterson (Gerald Greene) of Toledo; and two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Emma Greene of Toledo.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Robert L. Buntin of Findlay.
Following his graduation from Findlay High School in 1961, Bill studied at Texarkana College and later at The Ohio State University. Following his education, Bill had a lifelong career in the automotive supply industry where he served in senior leadership roles at Harvard Industries, Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., and Rice Chadwick.
Bill was proud to be a mason within the Wabash, Indiana Lodge where he obtained the title of 32nd degree mason within one year. He had many hobbies including golf, traveling with his family, restoring classic cars, and attending car shows with his collection of corvettes. Cruise Night in Findlay was one of his favorite car shows. He attended many years with his beloved 1963 corvette and won Best of Show one year. He also had a passion for music and guitars and managed the band The Mixed Emotions with whom in 1968 they wrote and recorded their first song. He served as a Deacon of the Presbyterian Church in Texarkana, Texas, and Peru, Indiana.
Bill was known by all to be an honest, compassionate, loyal, giving, and loving person. He was a mentor to many and enjoyed fellowship amongst his family, friends, and to anyone he may have just met. He was an Ohio State Buckeye at his core. He had a great sense of humor and oftentimes played up his humor to those who were not Ohio State fans (like setting chairs in the garage for Michigan fans) at many Saturday football parties. As busy as he was and as often as he traveled for business, Bill always found a way to put his family first.
A celebration of his life will be at a later date to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Bill's name to Pulmonary Hypertension Association at
