Vicki "Sue" Averill

Vicki "Sue" Averill, 74, of Findlay, died at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, Friday, Nov. 11, 2022. She was born Jan. 27, 1948, in Findlay, to the late Millard and Ruth (Riley) Treft. August 28, 1967, she married Gene Averill who preceded her in death May 16, 2008.

Survivors include her two daughters, Kelly (Scott) Gerdeman and Pamela (John) Rice both of Findlay. Her siblings, Jim and Max Treft, of Findlay, and Ed (Dorothy) Treft of Attica; four grandchildren, Tara (Alex) Romero, Tony Gerdeman, Clay Rice, and Allie (Terry) Hardwick, all of Findlay; and three great-grandchildren, Ember and Saxon Romero, Tripp Hardwick, and on the way, Easton Hardwick, as well as many nieces, nephews, great, and great great, nieces and nephews.

Proceeding her in death are her parents; her husband; two brothers, John, and Robert Treft; two sisters, Marilyn Craig, and Norma Hohman; three sisters-in-law, Joyce, Marilyn, and Orma Treft; and a brother-in-law, Fred Hohman.

Vicki was employed at Lowe's in Findlay before her retirement and was a fan of Nascar, cheering for Jimmie Johnson, and Kyle Larson. She liked to go camping, enjoyed playing games and cards with her family, and watching the Michigan Wolverines play. Most of all she loved her family and took pride and joy in them all.

Visitation will be 11-1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022, at the COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022, at the funeral home with the Rev. Dave Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Gardens east of Findlay.
