Timothy Sigworth Obituary
Timothy Michael Sigworth Sr.
Timothy Michael "Tim" Sigworth Sr., 68, of McComb, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, at Hospice Care Center at Blanchard Valley Hospital surrounded by his loving family members.
Tim was born Nov. 4, 1955, to Calvin Sigworth and Betty (Smith) Sigworth. Tim grew up with two brothers, Richard (Dick) Sigworth and Ben Sigworth. He attended Libbey High School where he played football and was also in auto mechanics. That began his love of cars and he became a life-long hobby mechanic. At one point, he even owned three 1959 Ford Galaxys. He graduated from Libbey High in 1974.
Tim married Lora Wysong in 1975 and they lived in Toledo for many years. He had three children, Tim Sigworth Jr., Edward Sigworth, and Sara Sigworth (Palmer).
Tim later married Tamera Sue Wilkerson on Aug. 8, 1992, at their home in Weston, at which time he gained two loving daughters, Heather Wilkerson (Mackey) and Nicole Sigg (Perreault), whom he loved as his own. Tim and Tammy later welcomed a son, Earle Sigworth in Oct., 1993. Later, they moved to Milton Center and then to McComb.
Tim was always a diligent individual. He enjoyed working at Food Town/Spartan Enterprises in Perrysburg. He worked there for 26 years where he began his career as a cashier and over the years, he worked his way up to store manager. Later, from 2001-2003, he had his own Archway cookie business. He also worked at Sherman Williams for two years. His last job was at Equity Meats/Keystone National Beef and he retired after 10 years of service there.
Tim was a man of superior character and was so hard working. He was the most selfless and giving person anyone would hope to meet. He always wanted the best for others and never held a grudge and would often sacrifice his own happiness for that of others. Tim would often help family and friends and in his loving way, would not take payment for the help and conveniently left the money behind.
Tim was an amazing husband and family man. He would help his kids at the drop of a hat. He also gave great advice and loved spending time with his kids, doing things like fishing, camping, boating, and especially going to the Bowling Green Tractor Pulls every year. He also loved to impart his knowledge of cars and wood working to his kids and they still enjoy these activities to this day.
Tim owned a motorhome and spent much of his time after retirement making upgrades to it. He enjoyed a cross country trip in his RV and went to visit his brother, Ben, in Houston, Texas. They enjoyed many activities together in Texas and he enjoyed many sites on the way there and back.
Tim enjoyed listening to music and especially liked The Doors and The Eagles. He also loved watching the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" and would watch it all year and daily in the month of December.
Food was also a big love of Tim's. He loved vanilla milk shakes, Nutty Buddys, and Ritz crackers crushed up with milk and sugar. He even enjoyed leftover cold spaghetti between two pieces of bread. He especially enjoyed authentic Spanish foods.
Tim is survived by his wife, Tammy Sigworth of McComb; brother, Ben Sigworth (Terri) of Houston, Texas; children, Tim Sigworth Jr. (Brandy) of McComb, Ed Sigworth of Columbus, Nicole (Sigg) Perreault (Chonyc) of Toledo, and Earle Sigworth of McComb; grandchildren, Kayla, Kelly, Katie, Alexis, Shiann, Cadence, Alyssa, Athena, and Ronin; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Betty (Smith) Sigworth; brother, Richard (Dick) Sigworth (lost in Vietnam); and two beloved daughters, Heather (Wilkerson) Mackey and Sara (Sigworth) Palmer.
The family would like to thank Hospice Care Center at BVRHC and Hanneman Funeral Home of McComb.
Cremation will be done by Hanneman with no services to follow per Tim's wishes.
