Thomas Dunn Obituary

Thomas V. Dunn

Thomas V. "Tom" Dunn, 77, of Findlay and formerly of Carey, entered his eternal home Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024, at Birchaven Village with his wife at his side.

He was born July 17, 1946, in Zanesville, to Victor and Elizabeth (Ice) Dunn, who preceded him in death. He attended grade school in Carey and graduated from Findlay High School in 1964. Tom attended Fort Wayne Business School and took classes at Findlay College.

He retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Co., having worked as a Field Auditor and salaried payroll manager.

Tom was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1986 and valiantly fought the disease for 38 years. He had a keen sense of humor to the very end which is evidenced by what he chose to have engraved on his tombstone,

"Returned to Sender."

He is survived by his wife, Constance (Pieranunzio) Dunn; Shih Tzu doggie daughter, Morgan; God daughter, Emma Dunn; sisters-in-law, Joyce Pieranunzio Webber, Pamela Pieranunzio Burt, and Catherine Pieranunzio Shearer; brother-in-law, Dominic (Joanne) Pieranunzio; and several nieces and nephews.

Tom's memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home with Chaplain Kathy Fenimore officiating. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

Thank you to the Birchaven Staff and Hospice Team for the wonderful care they gave Tom.
