Thelma Hankins Obituary
Thelma Grace Hankins, 95, of Findlay, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at Fox Run Manor.
She was born Oct. 10, 1927, in Van Wert, to the late George and Helen (Grundan) Taylor. She married Walter E. Hankins on Sept. 5, 1945, and he preceded her in death Nov. 12, 1986.
Thelma is survived by her children, James W. (Deanna) Hankins of North Baltimore, Edward E. Hankins of Ada, and Thomas G. (Beth) Hankins of Arcadia; brother, Donald Taylor of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon L. Sandercox; brothers, Robert Taylor and William Taylor; sisters, Evelyn Hall, Patricia Taylor, and Marilyn Launder; and grandson, Tyler Hankins.
Thelma was a graduate of Kenton High School. She worked as a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and bowling in her free time. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2023, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, 205 W. Sandusky Street, Findlay. Thelma's graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023, at Hueston Cemetery, Forest, with Pastor Mark Gregory officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Legacy Hospice, 1100 Shawnee Rd., Lima, Ohio, 45805.
