Terry L. Sigler
Terry L Sigler, 63, was called up to the field of dreams after a fearless battle with a rare leukemia at 10:33 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023.
He was born Aug. 27, 1959, to Donald and Ruth (Warner) Sigler, who preceded him in death. He married the love of his life, Kimberly (Wagner) Sigler on Oct. 17, 1981, and she survives in Ottawa.
Terry is survived by three children, Joshua (Michele), Jacob, and Jenna (Shane Wilson); grandchild, Oliver Sigler; brother, Ted (Shelia) Sigler; sister, Teresa (Scott) Featheringham; and faithful dogs, Jackie and Josie, who never left his side.
Terry was a 1977 graduate of Pandora-Gilboa High School. He was a dedicated employee of LP/Weather Seal, Wausau Homes, and Clarios. He truly loved his work and the people he worked with. His passion for the work that he did was felt by all.
Terry was a man of many interests. He was an avid fan of auto racing and attended every Indianapolis 500 starting in 1977. Terry also attended the many other races ranging from the Putnam International Trailway to 24 hours of Le Mans in France where he proudly proclaimed, "That ain't racing." A life-long Cleveland Indians fan, Terry made a tradition out of attending every home Opening Day with his father and children. Terry listened to every game on the radio and found endless joy attending countless games as a season ticket holder.
Terry was a life-long Boy Scout, having achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in his youth. He continued his involvement in scouting throughout his life, serving as Scout leader and mentor to countless young men including guiding both of his sons to the rank of Eagle. Terry loved sharing his passions with his friends, family, and children.
Terry will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and unwavering commitment to his family, friends, and community. He will be greatly missed by all who know him.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2023, at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, and 9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023, at New Cremation Lutheran Church, Ottawa. Terry's funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with Pastor Ken Pollitz officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora. A luncheon will follow the service.
