Teresa Irwin Obituary
Teresa Margaret (Meyer) Irwin, 82, of Columbus Grove, passed away peacefully at 10:42 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 3, 1940, in Columbus Grove, to the late Lawrence and Mary "Mamie" (Maag) Meyer. She married Steve Guy Irwin on Aug. 31, 1957, and he survives in Columbus Grove.
Teresa is also survived by four children, Dan (Cindy) Irwin of Columbus Grove, Sandy (Rick) Koehler of North Fort Myers, Florida, Russ (Shelli) Irwin of Columbus Grove, and Guy (Kristi) Irwin of Lima; 14 grandchildren, Kelley (Matt) Powell, Nate (Heidi) Irwin, Seth (Andrea Contrada) Clevenger, Chad (Leah) Irwin, Erin (Danny) Clevenger Painter, Abby (Kyle Klinebriel) Irwin, Taylor (Jon) Annarino, Tessa (Matt) Berger, Gage (Autumn Renner) Irwin, Kelsey Cardenas, Devin Fink, Matt (Becky) Koehler, Laura (Nick) Wright, and Chris (Amanda) Koehler; 26 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gord (Edwina) Meyer and Jim (Shirley) Meyer; two sisters, Alma Chambers and Ann Selhorst; and sister-in-law, Pat Lugibihl.
Teresa was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Lee, and Paul Meyer; three sisters, Rosie Begg, Maxine Henderson, and Cathy Ruhe; and in-laws, Edith Meyer, Shirley Meyer, John Begg, Paul Henderson, Frank Chambers, Bub Selhorst, and Ted Ruhe.
Teresa was the retired owner and Broker of Irwin Real Estate, Columbus Grove and Ottawa. She was past president of West Central Association of Realtors and past board member of Putnam County Habitat for Humanity. She enjoyed playing golf, bowling, playing euchre, and helping others. But most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them.
At her request, Teresa's remains have been cremated and will be kept and cherished by her loved ones. There will be a gathering 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Columbus Grove, where reminiscing by her family and friends will begin at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Putnam County Homecare and Hospice.
