Sylvia Maldonado Obituary
Sylvia M. Maldonado, 67, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. She was born in Findlay, February 3, 1958, to the late Reyes and Lydia (Benavides) Gutierrez. Sylvia married Jose R. Maldonado, May 6, 1978, and he preceded her in death December 7, 1987.
Surviving Sylvia are two sons, Jesse (Erin) Maldonado of Dublin, Ohio, and Jose (Whitney) Maldonado of San Antonio, Texas, and one grandchild, Lily Maldonado. Also surviving are six siblings, Rick (Barb) Gutierrez, Ray Gutierrez, Ronnie Gutierrez, Mary (Bob) Coldwell, Eva Neville, and Irma (Manuel) Lopez, all of Findlay.
She was a graduate of Findlay High School. She was formerly employed for 16 years at Goodwill Industries.
Sylvia was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and loved spending time with her family and watching the Game Show Network.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at St. Michael Chapel Downtown, 617 West Main Cross Street, Findlay. Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered, in Sylvia's name, to Cancer Patient Services, 1800 North Blanchard Street, Suite 120, Findlay, Ohio, 45840.
