Susan Balmer Obituary
Susan Balmer, loving mother and grandmother of four, passed away Monday, Oct. 10, 2022, at the age of 63. Susan was born Aug. 5, 1959, in Bluffton. She was a graduate of Cory-Rawson High School and Terra State Community College and she worked at The Courier in Findlay for many years.
Susan was a great artist and loved photography. She was also a great shot with a bow.
She also enjoyed music, computer games, and playing euchre, especially with her daughter and son-in-law.
Susan was preceded in death by her father, Roderick; stepfather, Ray Wilch; and mother, Raelene.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Amstutz) Lichak; Jennifer's husband, Lt. Col. Mark Lichak; four granddaughters, Amara, Lilliana, Mya, and Elena; brothers, Steven and David; and several cousins, a niece, and a nephew.
Visitation will be 2-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, at COLDREN CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Susan's memorial service will be 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Adam Borsay officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse. Online condolences can be shared with the family at coldrencrates.com.

Absolutely breaks my heart... Susan use to work with me 2009 and 2010 and we became very dear friends... we always told each Facebook. loved the other... we would get back together and visit from time to time or just contact each other on facebook. I was just thinking about contacting her last week about advice one medicare I am sure gonna miss reaching out to her she was an amazing friend. My heart is very heavy right now.... Love you girl... prayers for you Jennifer and family

Sue use to come up to me between art and art history and stick her nose in my neck and say boy you smell so good. What are you wearing? Deep woods by Avon. She said I love that smell on you. After that every time she saw me she would run up and smell my neck. Rest in Peace dear Sue. David Moore
