Sue Pollacek Obituary
Sue E. Pollacek, 79, of Findlay, passed away at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, Monday, December 30, 2024. She was born August 16, 1945, in Kenton to the late Robert and Virginia (Dodds) McAdow. On June 21, 1975, she married W. John Pollacek, who survives in Findlay.
Survivors include daughter, Alison (Sean) Matson of Bowling Green; sister, Lee Ann (Tom) Bidwell; nieces and nephews, Taylor Bidwell, Justin (Jillian) McAdow, Ronny McAdow and Ginny Beveridge.
She is preceded in death by her stepmother, Helen McAdow, and siblings, Ron McAdow and Robin McAdow.
Sue spent 35 years working for Findlay City Schools as an elementary teacher. She enjoyed reading and family trips to Disney World, Cleveland sports, Indians, Browns, and Cavs, BGSU women's basketball, volleyball, and scrapbooking. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas time.
Visitation for Sue will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, January 6, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. The funeral service will be private.
Memorial contributions may be directed towards BGSU College of Education. Online condolences may be expressed at www.coldrencrates.com.

Mrs. Pollacek was my second grade teacher in `00-`01
I´ll never forget her having us try out the different colored ketchups (purple and green) that they came out with to see if there was a difference in taste. I also remember "The chocolate touch" was a book she read aloud to the class and I LOVED it, as it stuck with me all these years. She was a wonderful woman, a great teacher, and she will be dearly missed!
