Steven Hammond Obituary
Steven "Steve" E. Hammond, 71, of Fostoria, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023 at his home. He was born July 24, 1951 in Fostoria, Ohio to Charles & Phyllis (Brink) Hammond. He married Cindy Bauman December 12, 1970 at Hope Lutheran Church, Fostoria, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife Cindy Hammond of Fostoria, sons Jeff (Tamara) Hammond & Tony (Shannon) Hammond, brothers David (Carrie) Hammond, Dennis (Lorie) Keiffer, sister Karen Armstrong, many nieces & nephews, brother in laws Mark (Lynn) Bauman, Daivd (Doris) Corey, sister in law Gail Bauman. grandchildren Carter, Landry, Zachary & Sophia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Becky Keiffer Holguin, brother in law Ron Armstrong, sister in law Jennifer Watrous-Bauman.
Steve retired May 31, 2012 from General Dynamics Land Systems after 39 years. He was a 1969 graduate of Fostoria High School & member of Hope Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Fostoria Redman Club, Fostoria Sportsmen Club & Jaycee's. Steve was a videographer for Fostoria Redmen Football for 10 years. He loved golfing, bicycling & fishing.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, Ohio with Pastor Robin Kapostasy officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. & one hour prior to the funeral Thursday both at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to Hope Lutheran Church, Leukemia Society or Charity of donor's choice.

Steve and Cindy happily hosted the majority of our neighborhood football and basketball games out in their back yard for many years when I was growing up. I have fond memories of those times and his kindness to all of us kids. My condolences and sympathy go out to the family.
