Steven Cook Obituary
Steven Wayne Cook, 69, of Findlay, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at his residence.
He was born March 14, 1954, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, to Richard and Eunice (Hart) Cook.
He married Connie Wilson on Feb. 13, 1982, and she survives along with a sister-in-law, Pattie Lobdell; niece, Leslie (Todd) Smith; three great-nephews, Jordyn, Landyn, and Ashton; and niece, Amber Cook.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Philip Cook; and niece, Tia Cook.
Steve was 1972 graduate of Findlay High School and attended Morehead State University in Kentucky. He was a state wrestling champion in 1972 and coached wrestling at the YMCA. Steve worked for both Hancor (29 years) and retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber as a Millwright following 17 years of service.
He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He enjoyed growing his own tomatoes from seed and working in his garden. He was a Mason with the Findlay Lodge (227) and also a Shriner.
Steve's funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023, and 12-1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be directed to Shriner's Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida, 33607, or Hancock County Humane Society in his memory.

I´m so sorry to hear of Steve´s passing. I had forgot how good of a wrestler he was at Donnell and FHS. State champ! He was one of the good neighborhood kids growing up. My prayers are with the entire family.

Steve was a great teammate on the Trojan wrestling squad. Always giving 110%. Prayers for him and his family.
