Sonja S. Hendricks

Sonja S. Hendricks, 61, of Findlay, passed away at 11:06 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

Sonja was born Jan. 10, 1962, in Findlay.

She married James F. Hendricks on June 13, 1980, and he survives. Sonja is also survived by her son, James W. Hendricks; grandson, Nathan Hendricks; brother, John (Deb) Oman; three sisters, Shirley (Victor) Gonzalez, Sandy Crawford, and Sharon Elliott; nieces, Missy Gonzalez and Mindy Gonzalez; and nephews, Daniel (Michelle) Oman and Joey Lee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. Oman Jr. and Wanda J. Naranjo; brother, George Oman; sister-in-law, Michelle Oman; stepmother, Lucille Oman; and brother-in-law, John Crawford.

Sonja attended Findlay High School and was a homemaker.

Sonja always enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, taking her dog "Cammie" for walks, cooking, housework, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She was an amazing person, thoughtful, caring, brave, courageous, fun-loving, and the most unselfish person you could ever meet. She will be greatly missed by her husband, son, family, and friends. Sonja was a bright light that burned out too soon.

Visitation for family and friends will be 12-1:30 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2023, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay. Sonja's funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Cook officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, 1120 West Main Cross Street, Findlay.

Memorials may be sent to Cancer Patient Services, 1800 North Blanchard Street, Suite 120, Findlay.
