Sharon L. Sands

Sharon L. Sands, 83, of Rawson, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025. She was born in Bluffton, to Wilbur and Trola (Schaller) Redick, January 21, 1942. Sharon graduated from Cory-Rawson High School in 1960. She married Roger Sands, May 17, 1964, and he preceded her in death October 25, 1991. Mrs. Sands is survived by her son, Gary (Debbie) Sands of rural Rawson; daughter, Hollie (Michael) Hunsinger-Sands of Lexington, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Jason (Amy) Sands, Kyle (Lexi) Sands and one great-grandson, Ryan. Sharon is also survived by her sisters, Donna (Thomas) Ylhainen of rural Rawson, Carol (Jerry) Karlin of University Heights, and Neva Miller of Bluffton.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Debra Sue Sands and a sister, Marilyn Ann Redick.

Sharon was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing.

Funeral service for Sharon will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Robert Krueger will be officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Jenera.

Arrangements have been entrusted to CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington. Memorial contribu-tions can be made in memory of Sharon to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran School or Bridge Home Health and Hospice.
